In just a few days, on 28 November 2020, during a 12-hour city challenge, participants will work on innovative solutions for our cities. At Eximius Park, we have pleasure of hosting for the first time the foundation Krakow Miastem Startupów, which is organising the “Smart City” hackathon.
Mentors for emerging businesses
For several years now, the Krakow Miastem Startupów Foundation has been taking care of young organizations taking their first steps in the business world. Through the exchange of experience, mentoring or preparing training courses for entrepreneurs and students, the foundation has an important role in development of Krakow’s start-up community. In addition to hosting courses or webinars, creating a networking space for the industry, KMS is also involved in organising events, such as the hackathon planned for the end of the month.
“Design the City of the Future”
The theme of the above-mentioned hackathon, in which more than a dozen teams are participating, is the city of the future. Especially in recent times, this is an extremely important issue. Firstly, the modern world poses many new challenges for communities living in urban spaces. Secondly, because of the pandemic situation, which has exposed new problems. The event is aimed at people who want to use new technologies for a good purpose. During the 12-hour hackathon, participants will solve a task in one of four categories:
– healthy city
– clean city
– smart city
– tourist city
The competition has a prize pool of PLN 10,000. Due to the current epidemiological situation, the event is taking place online. An office and studio will be arranged in the Eximius Park Conference Centre, from where the whole event will be broadcast and coordinated.
