We present a short report from the Congress, which was broadcast at the Eximius Park Conference Center on October 21, 2020.The Congress was organized by the Pro NGO Foundation in cooperation with partners: Eximius Park, Provincial Labor Office, Volunteers and friends of the PRO NGO Foundation. The PRO NGO Foundation offers non-governmental organizations a solution in the form of a BSH Certificate, thanks to which each organization can check its readiness to cooperate with business, and in the event of deficiencies in any area, it can count on recommendations and tips.

The idea of the PRO NGO Congress is to support non-governmental organizations and develop their activity towards offices and companies. The program of the PRO NGO Congress was divided into four thematic panels:

 

Panel  I – The role of offices in cooperation with NGOs

 

Participants:

Michał Góra – Head of the Department of Social Economy at the Regional Centre for Social Policy in Krakow

Małgorzata Dudziak – Head of the Adult Qualifications Team, Voivodeship Labour Office in Krakow

Joanna Glezman – Marshal’s Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations of the Marshal’s Office of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.

This panel was entirely devoted to the subject of cooperation between offices and non-governmental organizations. In the summary of the first panel, a new project of the PRO NGO Foundation – Club of Responsible Municipalities (KOG) was presented, aimed at supporting Municipalities from all over the country in the development of local non-governmental organizations. The project provides KOG Members with dedicated solutions and tools, as well as enables the organization of trainings and workshops, thus supporting the activity and improvement of communication between the NGO and the Municipality.

 

Panel II – Companies and corporations – features of effective cooperation

Ewa Szymkowska – Nowak – .CSR Manager at UBS in Poland

Agata Goor – acting Head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Office of Enea s.a., Member of the Management Board of the Enea Foundation

The business, local government and third sector have integrated around one main topic – effective cooperation – Although everyone has different goals, everyone wants to participate and initiate good projects that bring long-term effects and positive changes in our communities. Such meetings allow us to get to know the perspective of the other party, its expectations and the way of acting (…) – Agata Goor, Enea.

 

Panel III – debate on the path of success

 

Participants:

Jasiek Mela – Traveler, social activist and motivational speaker

Łukasz Salwarowski – President of the MANKO Association

Speakers discussed the mistakes and setbacks they made on their way to the top. It was emphasized that tedious, daily work at the grassroots is a huge determinant of success, as well as initiating partnership, motivation, not falling into a routine and good communication. The topic of cooperation with ambassadors was also discussed.

 

Panel IV – the modern solutions in the NGO environment

The last, fourth panel of the Congress touched on the topic of modern solutions in the NGO environment,  modern technologies, professional communication care, as well as the organization of trainings and online meetings in the era of the pandemic.
